Artist Statement

The only thing that make me to paint is the need,
to create a channel between my thoughts and the outside world.
I make paintings in which I shape paper and pictures into a new form by folding, tearing , cutting and layering them. This is an enjoyable way to creating a visual narrative of mystery and ambiguity, which always fascinates me.
At this moment an incident of yesterday may for me be less significant, less recent, than some story which I remember from my childhood.
The way old pictures and papers layered over each other remained me the depth of memory in our mind, one behind another, old and obscured.
In paintings I enlarge all little details of my handmade collages and show them pompously and as perfect as I can.
My works are exhibited regularly over the past years, and every day I am on challenging to experiment something new in my studio….with paper.
